1. 9 of the 10 fastest-growing U.S. cities are in Texas
Nine of the 10 U.S. cities and towns where populations grew rapidly from 2020 to 2023 are in Texas as per the latest U.S. Census Bureau data.

The population growth in many Texas towns may be attributed to the state's relatively lower cost of living and its lack of personal income tax.
2. New Braunfels ranked as the most family-friendly city in Texas
New Braunfels was named the most family-friendly city in Texas and the 8th most family-friendly in the nation, according to a study by Rustic Pathways, a student-focused travel website.
The city was propelled towards the top of the ranking thanks to being one of the top 10% safest cities with an average of 2,775 crimes per 100,000 residents.
The study gave the New Braunfels a score of 65.55 out of 100 based on 11 different travel metrics. The metrics included Booking.com's total reviews, crime rates, booking prices, average rating, etc. Rustic Pathways then compiled the data and ranked over 250 cities in the country.

4. Tesla grows footprint in Texas with 183k-sq-ft building in Taylor
Tesla is growing its footprint in Austin with the electric vehicle maker reportedly leasing a 183,000-sq-ft rail-served building in the RCR Taylor Logistics Park in Taylor.
Teslaās plans for the rail-served building came about three months after Houston-based Partners Real Estate announced that it was building the facility.
Officials from Partners Real Estate simply stated that the building had been pre-leased with no additional information shared. LINK
5. Castle Hill Partners begin home sales for the 1,373-acre community along Grand Parkway
Castle Hill Partners has started home sales for The Trails at the Grand Parkway and Plum Grove Road, a 1,373-acre community along the northeastern Grand Parkway.
Plans for the community, which broke ground in August 2023, include more than 2,000 homes at build-out and about 600 acres of contiguous underdeveloped land for nature trails and outdoor recreation.
The first phase will include 254 homesites, with 40 to 60-ft front widths. The three to five-bedroom homes will range from 1,400 to 3,800 sf and sell from the upper $200,000 to the upper $500,000.
